I have been shopping at bead shows for more than 16 years. It is the most overwhelming, exhilarating, confusing, noisy, and exciting experience. It is an assault to the senses. Upon entering the show, my heart starts racing and I get a rush. Miles of tables, with vendors selling findings and strands of beautiful beads of all shapes, sizes, textures and quality...all calling my name.

If I were more disciplined, I would insist that the vendor write legible details of the name and source of the bead or stone on the receipt. Then I would come home, photograph my purchases and write meticulous notes.

Later, when I made the item, I would be able to refer to my copious notes and describe each piece in excruciating detail. However that is not always the case. So occasionally, the problem is how can I possibly remember the name of a particular bead or stone that I bought 15 years ago, and am only now inspired to use?

If you must know in great detail what a necklace is comprised of, you have come to the wrong website. I absolutely try to do the very best that I can. Just know that the reason I purchased the beads was because they spoke to me, it was a wonderful color, shape or texture that set my imagination on fire. And trust me, I remember when I purchased a strand of beads so expensive, that I caught my breath, but decided I simply had to have them. So understand that some items may be less descriptive than you may want. But I promise to do better in the future.
